Why aren't there any Japanese astronauts?

Have you ever seen a Japanese astronaut?
I'll tell you why you haven't seen one.
I'll tell you why...

Because you can't do,
A Japanese tea ceremony,
When you're an astronaut.
It's those damn fat gloves.
Fat gloves...

And you can't do,
A Japanese tea ceremony,
When you're in zero grav.
'Cause the tea goes everywhere.
Tea goes everywhere...

Fringe shows seen so far this year: 5.

Tripod were brilliant as always. And maybe one day I will get around to buying their cds!

When I told my parents I was going to see Tripod, my Dad asked "Is that the one where the guy stands on his knob?". o_0

On Sunday, I took my Mum to see Chopper's Fuckin' Bingo for her birthday. She had a lot of fun, even though she didn't get any numbers, and Dad was laughing a little bit too!

So, the Fringe has been on for just over a week, and I've now seen 3 shows (all over this weekend!).

The first one was on Friday night. The Adventures of Stoke Mandeville, Astronaut and Gentleman. It's set in a parallel steam-punk world, full of Victorian values and British stiff-upper-lip-edness. (And dastardly Frenchman!) It was brilliant and very fun.

Last night, Sunday, there were two shows. The first was the Adelaide University Choral Society (aka [info]schubomb's choir), who were singing songs by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Queen, etc, etc. Also a few songs from Jesus Christ Superstar.

I explained to [info]longlongwaytogo my complete misinterpretation of that musical when I was about 11/12. I was in my primary school choir, and we were singing I Don't Know How To Love Him and Superstar, and I thought I Don't Know How To Love Him was meant in a religious way.... Yeah, someone wasn't paying attention to the lyrics! And then with Superstar, I felt very uncomfortable singing a song about Jesus. Luckily, I saw the musical a few years ago, so now I understand it!

Also, sorry we had to run out at the end before we could say goodbye, [info]schubomb. We had another show to get to, and we had no idea how long it was going to take to get into the Garden Of Unearthly Delights, seeing as the line on Friday night was rather long....

We were going to Felicity Ward's Ugly As A Child Variety Show, and it was great! I won't say too much about, because Nyree wants to see it.

Ooo, my parents are gone! I'm gonna go watch Buffy!

Wow, a lot has happened since I last posted!

We saw Ross Noble last Wednesday night, and he was brilliant as usual!

Frank Woodley's solo show on Friday, Possessed, was really good. At first I felt a bit sorry for him, cos he was all alone with no Col to talk to, but then he got possessed by Phoebe, so it was good. And his set was really awesome, I kinda wanted to live there....

Sunday, Sam and I went to Chopper's F*ckin' Bingo, which was really fun! Felicity from Ronnie Johns was in it too, she played Choppers' drug addict niece Jenny! There was a sausage fight as a tie-breaker, and a pinata was viciously murdered by a cop. Heath is so, so cool!

Last night, my mum wanted to play Chopply. She didn't like it too much, but that was because I was having a really great game, and she kept ending up in H-Division! She's a very sore loser......

Oh wow, I'm rather happy right now!

I just found the 2007 Doctor Who Children in Need special, and I'm squeeing all over the place! It's got Peter Davison in it, who may be my favourite Doctor after David Tennant, even though I haven't seen many of his episodes.

Also, Fringe tickets go on sale today, and there are so many good shows! Sam, do you wanna go to anything? Cos I can't really organise anything with Nyree at the moment. :(

And, I just found an old NoFX CD that I'd forgotten I have! Zeppelin-y bit!!!

Now let's see if I can work out how to put a video in...

Pocket dance!

So I randomly got visited by [info]longlongwaytogo  and Grant last night, while I was eating tea! And they hung out for a while, and we laughed at my dog, and I showed them my new pocket dance, which I wasn't even aware I had until Nyree pointed it out to me!

And now I'm overwhelmed by the number of tickets that I need to buy for shows. Chaser tickets go on sale tomorrow, even though they're not coming here till May. And the tickets for Frank Woodley's new Fringe show are already on sale, but Nyree and I need to work out when we are going, cos he's doing about 20 shows. I'll be going to see Ross Noble too. At least, I'm assuming he's gonna be here, cos he always is. And the Fringe guide hasn't even been released yet! So there will probably be tonnes more shows I want to go to.

March is gonna be a very busy month! Soundwave is on the first, it's my mum and dad's birthdays, [info]samelthecamel  and I are going to see HIM in Melbourne, and the Fringe is on for the first half of the month. I think I really need to start saving some money, but it's a bit tricky with Christmas shopping that needs to be done.
