I was looking at a Fat Wreck Chords compilation that I got years ago, and I discovered that one of the songs on there is by Anti-Flag! So, I kinda knew that already, but it didn't click until today. It's called Seattle Was A Riot, and it's also the most useful song on the cd!

The reason for it's usefulness: A few years back, when I was at uni, I was doing an exam for Public and Private Systems (ie politics and stuff). There was a question asking where the WTO riot happened. I'd missed the class about that, but I knew the answer, thanks to Anti-Flag. It was only worth one point, but it was still very helpful.

So thankyou Anti-Flag, for being useful and educational!

Not so useful was when I used to get other songs from that cd stuck in my head during year 11 and 12 exams, because they didn't tell me any of the answers.....

Anyway, it's a very good cd that introduced me to some great bands, even if I didn't start to listen to them properly until more recently.

Now I need to find songs that start with N for a meme that Sam's given me. Well, finding the songs isn't the problem, I already have a list of nearly 40, and that's just from my mp3 player. Now I need to narrow it down to 5 songs..... And Atreyu won't get out of my head!

Speaking of which, I lent some of my cds to Jen, she was complaining that she didn't have any music to listen to. And now she likes Mindless Self Indulgence! I'm not sure what she'll think of the others though. I gave her If (MSI), Lead Sails Paper Anchor (Atreyu), Scream Aim Fire (Bullet For My Valentine), Siren Song Of The Counter Culture (Rise Against) and both Tenacious D albums. I think next time around I might give her the other MSI stuff, The Wombats and maybe some Avenged Sevenfold.
