Sam and I saw The Mist last night. It was really good, a lot better than I was expecting. And Ollie has to be one of the coolest people ever! I love unlikely heroes. But the ending was evil. I mean, it was a good ending, but you are a twisted bastard, Darabont! XD
Later on, I was idly wondering how many Stephen King stories had been made into movies, I only thought of about 6. But the answer is: shitloads!
Alicia's Hens Night on Saturday was really fun, Sam and I experimented with random cocktails, and Nyree drank mocktails. I tried to get her in trouble with Grant, pretending that she was drunk, but it didn't work! :P
Anyway, back to The Mist, I was thinking during the movie: Why is it so hard for people to believe that aliens/strange creatures/whatever, exist? They have the evidence shoved right in their faces, or have normal, sane people tell them what's going on, but they still refuse to believe it. Personally, I blame movies. People think that "This is the sort of thing that happens in movies, therefore it can't be real." Or something. (I know that this is a movie I'm talking about, but I think the point is still valid... )
Personally, I don't see how it can be so hard to believe that there could be weird monsters living at the bottom of the sea, or intelligent beings on one of the millions of other planets in the universe. Anyway, enough strange rantings for now.
I also watched Yellow Submarine yesterday, it's so bizarre and lovely. And I think I've fallen in love with Ringo (again...). "Unidentified Flying Cupcakes"
And if anyone wanted to know what the movies in my meme were:
